FLOORWORK DANCE COMPANY
 FLO(o)R(es)WORK DANCE COMPANY is a contemporary dance company based in
Staten Island, New York. Founded in 2008 by Dancer, Teacher & Choreographer Cecilia Flores.
Our mission is to create a deeper understanding of the creative process in contemporary dance. We strive to learn and grow together as we develop our repertoire.

* Cecilia Flores was awarded the "Excellence in the Arts Award", and the "DCA Art Fund" grant in Dance & Choreography by COAHSI in 2011. * Cecilia Flores & FWDC hosted and performed at Staten Island Modern 2011 (VMH Playhouse, Staten Island, NY)
* In 2009 Cecilia Flores received the Premier Grant in Dance & Choreography by COAHSI. * FWDC performed at Summerfest and at Night of Staten Island Artists at the Center For the Arts at CSI, in 2011. * FWDC performed at the Dance Festival "No Boundaries - Dance Across Campus" at Stage One, Wagner College in 2011.  Floorwork Dance Company's performance at Staten Island Modern was made possible (in part) by a DCA Art Fund grant awarded to Cecilia Flores from the Council on the Arts & Humanities for Staten Island, with public funding from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.
